This policy explains how UnfoldingSelf collects, uses and protects the personal information you share when you contact us through this website. UnfoldingSelf is the IFS-informed training practice of Christiane Churchill-Ley. We are the data controller responsible for your information.
If you have any questions about this policy or about how we handle your information, please email contact@unfoldingself.co.uk.
Information we collect
We only collect the information you choose to give us. When you complete the enquiry form on our contact page, we collect your name, your email address, the training you are interested in and your message. You may also tell us your professional discipline, but this is optional.
We do not collect this information from any other source, and we do not buy or receive it from third parties.
How we use your information
We use the details you send us to reply to your enquiry, to give you information about our courses, trainings, workshops and retreats, and to stay in touch with you about the training you asked about.
Our lawful basis for using your information in this way is to take steps at your request before you decide whether to book a place, and our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us. We do not use your information for automated decision making or profiling.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your information, and we do not share it for marketing. We use a small number of trusted service providers who process information on our behalf and only on our instructions:
- Vercel, which hosts this website.
- Supabase, which provides the secure database where your enquiry is stored.
- Zoho ZeptoMail, which delivers the enquiry as an email to us.
- Google Workspace, which provides the email inbox where we receive and reply to your message.
We may also disclose information if we are required to do so by law.
Where your information is stored
Your enquiry is stored in a database hosted in the United Kingdom and the European Economic Area, and email is handled within the European Economic Area. Where any provider processes information outside the UK or the EEA, they do so under safeguards recognised by UK data protection law.
How long we keep it
We keep your enquiry for as long as we need it to respond to you and for a reasonable period afterwards. If you do not go on to book a place on a course, we will delete your enquiry within twenty four months of our last contact with you. If you become a course participant, we keep the information we need for as long as necessary to provide the course and to meet our legal and accounting obligations.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the information we hold about you,
- ask us to correct information that is wrong or incomplete,
- ask us to delete your information,
- ask us to restrict or object to how we use it,
- ask us to provide your information in a portable format.
To exercise any of these rights, please email contact@unfoldingself.co.uk. We will respond within one month.
Cookies and tracking
This website does not use tracking or advertising cookies, and we do not use analytics that identify you. We only use the essential technology needed to serve the pages and to process the enquiry form securely.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the date at the top of this page.
How to complain
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please contact us first so we can try to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office, the UK regulator for data protection, at ico.org.uk.
