Terms & Conditions of Booking and Participation
Effective from 7 August 2026
Thank you for your interest in an UnfoldingSelf training.
Our intention is to create learning environments that are safe, respectful, inclusive and deeply human. These Terms & Conditions are designed to provide clarity for everyone involved and to support a learning experience that is enjoyable, professionally held and beneficial for all participants.
By booking a place on one of our trainings, you confirm that you have read and agree to these Terms & Conditions.
1. Welcome and Inclusion
Everyone is welcome at UnfoldingSelf, regardless of race, ethnicity, nationality, culture, religion, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, relationship status, age or background.
We are committed to creating learning environments where every participant is treated with dignity, respect and kindness. We believe that diversity enriches learning, and we ask everyone attending our trainings to contribute to an atmosphere of openness, curiosity and mutual respect.
2. Eligibility
Participants must be at least 18 years of age.
Some trainings have specific eligibility requirements or recommended previous experience. These will always be explained before booking. It is the participant’s responsibility to ensure that the course is appropriate for their level of experience.
3. Booking and Payment
A place on a course is confirmed once any required application has been accepted and the agreed payment or deposit has been received.
Course fees, payment schedules and cancellation arrangements will be provided as part of the individual course information.
If payment is not received by the agreed date, we may be unable to hold your place unless alternative arrangements have been agreed in advance.
4. Information You Provide
In order to administer your booking safely and professionally, we may ask for information such as your preferred name, contact details, emergency contact, relevant qualifications, previous training, accessibility requirements, dietary requirements and any other information that will help us support your participation.
You confirm that the information you provide is accurate and up to date.
5. Privacy
Your personal information will be stored securely and used only for purposes directly connected with your participation in UnfoldingSelf trainings.
We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties except where required by law or where necessary for the administration of the course.
With your permission, we may share participants’ names and email addresses within the training group to support connection between participants. If you would prefer your email address not to be shared, simply let us know before the course begins.
6. Confidentiality
Our trainings often involve personal reflection and professional discussion.
All participants agree to respect the confidentiality of what is shared within the learning group. Personal stories, identities and experiences shared by other participants should not be discussed outside the training without that person’s explicit permission.
Confidentiality is one of the foundations of creating a safe learning environment.
7. Participation and Respect
We ask everyone attending an UnfoldingSelf training to contribute to a respectful, compassionate and professionally appropriate learning environment.
Behaviour that compromises the safety, dignity or wellbeing of other participants or members of the teaching team may result in a participant being asked to leave the training. Where appropriate, we will always seek to resolve concerns through conversation before taking further action.
8. Emotional Wellbeing
Our trainings are educational and experiential. They may invite personal reflection and may occasionally bring emotionally challenging material into awareness.
These trainings are not a substitute for psychotherapy, mental health treatment or crisis support.
Participants remain responsible for their own wellbeing throughout the course and for arranging appropriate personal support, such as a therapist, supervisor or other qualified professional, should this be needed during or after the training.
9. Nature of the Training
UnfoldingSelf provides professional development and personal learning opportunities.
Unless specifically stated otherwise, our programmes are IFS-informed and are independent of the IFS Institute.
Participation in an UnfoldingSelf training does not constitute qualification as a psychotherapist, counsellor, coach or other regulated professional, nor does it provide certification by the IFS Institute.
10. Attendance and Certificates
Where a certificate of completion is offered, participants are expected to attend the required number of training hours.
Certificates confirm attendance and completion of the course only. They do not imply professional accreditation or clinical competence.
Certificates are normally issued electronically.
11. Course Changes
Very occasionally, circumstances outside our control may require us to make changes to course dates, venue, trainers or delivery format.
If this becomes necessary, we will inform participants as soon as reasonably possible and will always seek to minimise disruption.
Where a significant change is made before the course begins and you no longer wish to attend, you will be offered the option described in the relevant course booking information.
12. Cancellation by UnfoldingSelf
If we need to cancel a course, all course fees paid for any undelivered training will be refunded in full.
Our liability is limited to the refund of course fees. Participants are responsible for arranging appropriate travel and accommodation insurance if required.
13. Recording
Participants may not audio-record, video-record or photograph teaching sessions without prior written permission.
Occasionally, we may request permission to record parts of a training for educational or professional development purposes. Participation in any recording will always be optional.
14. Travel and Accommodation
Participants are responsible for arranging and paying for their own travel, accommodation and personal insurance unless otherwise stated.
15. Applications
To protect the quality and safety of our trainings, we reserve the right to decline or defer an application where we believe a course may not currently be the best fit for an applicant.
If this happens after payment has been made, any course fees paid will be refunded in full.
16. Concerns
If you have any concerns before, during or after a training, we encourage you to contact us directly so that we can do our best to resolve the matter promptly and respectfully.

17. Changes to These Terms
From time to time we may update these Terms & Conditions to reflect changes in our trainings or legal requirements.
The version in place at the time of your booking will apply to your participation unless changes are required by law.
Thank you for helping us create learning environments where people can feel safe enough to learn, practise, grow and connect with one another.
We very much look forward to welcoming you to UnfoldingSelf.
